FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) was founded in 1954 in the United States by Mr. Don McClanen. His work through the gospel and training for athletes and coaches throughout the United States is highly regarded and accepted by the community and schools.
In 2012, FCA expanded its activities for players and coaches internationally. Mr. Will Thompson was dispatched to Japan and the activities of FCA Japan was started. Up to now, we have held activities such as baseball clinics by professional athletes in cooperation with local churches, Rugby World Cup activities, seminars, and camps. We are also engaged in projects unique to Japan, such as creating a Japanese version of the Sports Bible that includes the testimonies of professional athletes. We also regularly facilitate huddles (small groups) of coaches and athletes in Tokyo. In the future, we will continue to build a cooperative relationships and partnerships with the local churches, mission groups, and sports associations. We continue to work to build the foundation of sports ministry in Japan and to see the FCA vision of the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes be fulfilled throughout Japan.
